With more than 30 years immersed in the yachting industry, Jerry Gilpin brings a rare combination of professional captaincy, yacht management, and brokerage experience to every client relationship.
Before becoming a licensed yacht broker more than a decade ago, Jerry spent over 20 years as a professional captain, traveling extensively throughout the Caribbean and Central America. That time on the water provided him with an in-depth understanding of yachts that goes well beyond their appearance or specifications. He has operated, maintained, and managed yachts firsthand and understands what it takes to own and enjoy a yacht long after the purchase is complete.
As a yacht broker, Jerry has successfully facilitated the sale and purchase of hundreds of new and pre-owned boats. He is also the owner of a yacht management company, where he provides yacht owners with management, service, and consulting. This experience gives Jerry a unique perspective when representing both buyers and sellers.
Today, in addition to specializing in brokerage yachts, Jerry represents Riviera Yachts, allowing him to offer clients the opportunity to explore both new and pre-owned yachts while providing knowledgeable guidance throughout the process.
Jerry believes that purchasing or selling a yacht should be an enjoyable experience built on trust, knowledge, and transparency. His approach is centered on understanding each client's individual goals and helping them make informed decisions. For Jerry, yachting is more than a profession—it is a way of life. Away from the office, he enjoys traveling and spending time on the water in the Bahamas with his wife and daughter, as well as sharing time aboard with family, friends, and clients.
