2006 Island Packet 440 — “Already Gone”
Exceptionally Equipped • Proven Cruising Platform • Generator • Bow Thruster • Solar • 260-Gallon Water Capacity
Already Gone” is an exceptionally well-equipped 2006 Island Packet 440 that has been thoughtfully outfitted for serious cruising, extended stays aboard, and long-range adventure. Rather than purchasing a lightly equipped boat and spending years — and significant money — preparing her for cruising, the next owner of “Already Gone” benefits from a vessel that has already received an extensive list of upgrades to her mechanical, electrical, comfort, and cruising systems.
Designed by renowned naval architect Bob Johnson, the Island Packet 440 embodies the qualities that have made Island Packet one of the most respected names in cruising sailboats: exceptional seakeeping, safety, comfort, ease of handling, impressive storage, and an interior designed for life aboard. Her aft cockpit arrangement, substantial 14'4" beam and intelligently designed accommodations provide remarkable living space while retaining the offshore capability for which Island Packet is known.
“Already Gone” is powered by a 75 HP Yanmar diesel and is equipped with an 8kW generator, Side-Power bow thruster, 700 watts of solar, approximately 1,000 amp-hours of house battery capacity, a 2,000-watt inverter, high-output alternator and extensive charging-system upgrades. Together, these systems provide the electrical independence and redundancy that become increasingly important when cruising away from the dock.
Comfort aboard is equally impressive. 33,000 BTUs of air conditioning, three refrigeration units, generous galley and storage areas, two private cabins, multiple berths and a spacious salon make extended stays aboard comfortable for owners and guests alike.
Her cruising capacities are exceptional, with approximately 260 gallons of freshwater and 160 gallons of diesel fuel, significantly expanding the possibilities for extended cruising. A shallow 5-foot draft is particularly desirable for exploring the Bahamas, Florida Keys and other cruising grounds where deeper-draft sailboats can be restricted.
Above deck, “Already Gone” continues to impress with electric winches, electric anchor windlass, stainless-steel arch and davit system, Sunbrella SeaMark dodger and bimini, heavy-duty Isinglass enclosure, autopilot, AIS/VHF, cellular connectivity, and an extensive inventory of cruising equipment.
