Aiyana was conceived around an unusually clear brief: create a performance sailing yacht capable of serious offshore passages and genuine sailing performance, while remaining manageable enough for her owner to sail without the demands normally associated with a yacht of this scale.

The project began at close to 37 metres and, over several years of development with Alan Warwick of Warwick Yacht Design, was deliberately compressed to 24.68 metres. The result is a yacht in which virtually every distinctive feature has a purpose — from her hydraulic lifting keel and raised pilothouse to her convertible accommodation and highly automated sailing systems.

Built by Alia Yachts in Antalya in advanced composite to Germanischer Lloyd standards and the MCA Commercial Code, Aiyana became the first major yacht project delivered by the yard. She was subsequently featured by Boat International in February 2011 following a sailing trial in Venice.

One owner from new, a documented history and substantial investment in recent years now place Aiyana in an unusually strong position for her next custodian.
