LONG WAY ROUND

LONG WAY ROUND is a 2015 Model launched in June of 2014 and delivered in October 2014. It is built to UK and European specifications.

Built with Factory Option Arneson Drives, this rarely available model 68 Sports Yacht is amongst the most ecologically friendly boats on the water today. With a fuel efficiency of up to 30% greater than the common shaft drive model, the boat operates better efficiently at both slow displacement speeds and high planning speeds of up to 44 knots. This allows high-speed cruising over long distances at a far lower cost and ecological impact than the common shaft drive version, whilst maintaining excellent stability and comfort.

The Arneson Drive system enables substantially faster acceleration, greater maneuverability, and control, and a substantially reduced draft compared to the shaft drive models. This affords the ability to go into shallow waters where other shaft drive boats cannot travel, reduced danger of propeller damage or fouling due to the higher position of the propellors, and reduced maintenance costs for the Arneson Drives and transmissions. Despite popular belief, ASD boats are easy to drive and extremely maneuverable.

Further upgrades to Long Way Round include a completely new oak interior fitted in 2018 at the Sunseeker factory under a recall program, including matching leather soft goods. Additionally, a frequency converter was installed which allows the yacht to make safe electrical connections anywhere in the world.

Long Way Round has completed a full hull as well as deck polish and wax and antifouling.  She is looking and running superbly.  The Arneson drives and main engines have been serviced and are ready to go.  New exterior upholstery and cushions have also been installed.  

Long Way Round has seen limited use as evidenced by low engine hours of approximately 530hrs. It sleeps 6 guests in 3 staterooms with 4 heads and has room for 1 crew. This exceptional yacht is Comfortable, Highly Fuel Efficient and Extremely Fast.
